Magnesium

Magnesium fulfils vital functions in the body. It is important for muscle contraction, for communication between nerve cells and between nerve and muscle cells, and for cardiac activity. The mineral is also involved in the formation of bones and teeth. As an organic salt, magnesium citrate dissolves well and is therefore easily absorbed by the body. It therefore serves as a rapid supply when there is an increased need for magnesium (eg during intensive muscle exertion, stress, diabetes, etc.). It promotes muscle relaxation, relieves cramps and tension.
